2022 – What a great year!

We had a great Christmas celebration today! Community Support Centre would like to take the opportunity to thank all our supporters and donators for their fantastic help in funding our projects, so that we can continue to support our local residents and community.
I also want to take this opportunity to say to ALL the ladies of Community Support Centre, once more thank you for your great efforts and continuing support over the year 2022.

To ALL, without your help and generosity it wouldn’t be possible, we’re extremely proud of what we have achieved over the year.

We have achieved so much over this last year and here are some of the success stories:

Mam Dish Project

The lunch of our mam dishes project was a success event where the whole community came together to celebrate with us as we are heading to this big journey of food cultural heritage which brings , links and strengthen us together as one community forever . Lot of People came and we all had fun and eat.

Therapy Workshops

We had a great therapy workshops sessions. We learned how to feel comfortable in our own skin, and to feel proud about the way look, by learning how to love and respect ourselves because we are all much better than the way we look, thus need to be positive.
 

Heritage Training Day

What a lovely heritage training day we had! It highlighted different foods heritage of ethnic minority backgrounds. We also learnt how to leave the behind the records of our different culinary heritage foods for the next generation to see and to preserve our different ethnic minority food cultures.

Professional Photography Training

We had a lovely time learning about professional photography, we learned how to take videos and photographs to highlight on ideas of photos of different foods and cultures. We had a really good time on that training day, which was full of fun and laughs.

2023 Mental Health Support Project 

Finally we will continue to support our community in 2023 and the future as we did in the past. We are delighted to announce our exciting news with you all. We have just received a grant from Forever Manchester funding our Mental Health Support project. This will help continue with supporting our ladies and families more, especially at this difficult time where we are all struggling to cope with the stress of the rising cost of living.

The project starts in January 2023.
